Currently I am sitting on my sofa writing this photography blog, watching it pouring with rain outside and hoping that I won’t have to postpone a shoot that I have on this afternoon. It’s going to be a great one, and my good friend from school who is now a make up artist will be coming along too. I think I might just do it even if it rains, we’ll see.
Something that I really miss about school is summer holidays. Imagine getting six weeks off over the summer to just amuse yourself, meet up with friends and get stuck into as many projects as you wanted. At the time I definitely took that for granted. I love being busy, and I reckon I could easily fill up those six weeks with activities. I suppose that is part of the curse-of-adulting, but maybe one day I’ll factor that into my plan, who knows.
July Catch Up
July for me mostly involved getting settled into my new job as a designer and working out a new schedule around that. Iv’e been quite inspired with photography, and now I have less time for it, my photography time is more focused and productive which is good. I’ve discovered so many photographers that have inspired me recently, but there’s always that moment of looking at your own work and thinking – ‘what am I even doing?’. I’m also looking at you, Wrapped in Plastic.
I’m ready for a new season
I have to say, even in July I was looking forward to autumn and winter. The Halloween and Christmas shopping excitement is tingling (yeah, I know it’s ages away), but I’m already looking forward to cosy evenings, boots, jumpers and celebrations.
The pictures below are a select few from my personal life over the last month or two. Hoping to get more of a monthly photo-diary type thing going on this photography blog too.
I hope you’re having a good summer. What do you prefer – summer or Autumn?
