Hello lovely blog readers. Firstly if you are taking the time to read this, then thank you. Do let me know you’ve dropped by in the comments.
This is the first self portrait I have created in a while, I think the driving emotion was a feeling of loneliness and fragility, and I’m happy with how I think I’ve portrayed that with composition, tones and colouring. This is one of those images that looks so different from the original, you would not recognise it at all, next time if people are interested I will do a speededit video to go along side as I think this is one of those that would be really interesting. I like this image because all you need is a body and the internet. Okay, badly phrased, but this cost me nothing to make, and I’m really happy with the results. I’d like to make this the beginning of a series too, so maybe there will be more.
This image is also available to buy as a print here.
I have a busy long weekend / week of photography coming up which I’m looking forward to; a mixture of lovely families, lovely events and lovely companies. I’ve not taken on much commission work over the recent months, but maybe that could change in the near future. I’d like to just capture more people. If you are interested in some photos, do send me a message and I’ll get back to you with my rates.
This week at home has been a bit difficult, and sad and hard work. You know when life throws you a bit of a curve ball so you have to readjust without much notice? Everything is fine, and will be fine, it’s just a bump in the road. Reading my kindle while wrapped in a huge blanket eating biscuits has been my salvation.
I’m reading ‘The Name of the Wind’ FINALLY, as I’ve been meaning to for such a long time now.
How have you spent your long weekend?
